      I don't write here enough

But here is my latest update:

After the season ended for the museums I decided to work for a temping agency. I started a job in December and managed to stay. After my interview for the museums, I was only offered to work for the weekends and I decided I needed a bit more than that. To say the least I was a bit disappointed. So, an opening arose at the solicitor's office that I was working in and I decided to stay permanently. I now have a good job, decent salary, no weekends and I can make plans! I have offered to stay on as a casual for the museums if needed. All in all I'm quite happy with how things have turned out. Smile

Kevin doggiesDog face and myself went to Cornwall after EasterSun for a few days. It was a wonderful stay and far too short. We are now planning for upcoming holidays this summer. We will be going to Alnwick and Durham (Festival of Japan) in September, but have yet to decide anything else.

      Autumn Again

Wow! It really has been ages since I've been here. Right! For starters, I lost 3 1/2 stone total. However, I have put some of that back on. No worries, I still look good, and now really need to start worrying about keeping it off and losing the remainder of my weight. I've had a job since March working in the community museums in Birmingham. I work at Soho House Museum and Museum of the Jewellery Quarter. I really like my job. The season ends at the end of October, so we'll see what I'm going to do between then and March again. Temp job maybe? We'll see.

      It's already Setsubun!

It's already Setsubun and I haven't written since last year! Gomen ne! Still looking for a proper job. Hope to get a job soon! Blah... blah... blah... it's the same old stuff isn't it? LOL!  I'm going to a party on Saturday night and wearing my yabane kimono. Should be fun. Too bad I can't eat though. I'm on a very strict diet. I have lost 1 stone (14lbs) already. Yippee! But the diet is very boring. I hope the time goes by quickly.

      Workin' Girl

I've got a temp. Christmas job! Yeah! I'm employed once again! Keep you informed of other job possibilities soon. :)

      Still Bitter? Yup!

So... the company that flat out told us that the bookshop was not being sold because of a sale of the company! What a load of bullocks!

TSO is now owned by DHL. Of course my union is full of pansies, so I still won't see any action, but what a crock! I'm sure there is a law here stating that all parts of the company must be given ample time to prepare for a sale! That didn't happen, so who's going to call them on it? Who gives a damn except the people, like me, who have lost their jobs? Well you can bet that all those smug jack-asses sitting in middle management are a bit scared! Serves them right. What comes around goes around.

Oh well, life has gone on.
      October 25

      Still unemployed!

Here it is the 25th of October and I still haven't found a job. I've tried lots of places. Guess I'm going to have to settle for Christmas work in Birmingham. I didn't want to do that because the crazy hours and having to rely on public transportation. On a nicer note, Kevin and I are off to spend the weekend at Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire. Some of you Harry Potter may know this place as where some filming is done. Looking forward to our stay. Doggies will go to kennels for the weekend so we don't have to worry about them.

      Unemployed!

That has to be the worst word in the English language. And yet as of next Friday this is what I am. The bookshop where I work (ed) closed down last Friday so we are now emptying the shop. Not a happy time. :(

      I passed!

Yay! I finally passed my theory driving test, so bring on the practical.

      Busy!

I guess I've just been too busy to get here to write. I'm here now! ;) Have done a lot since I last wrote. But can't be bothered to go into detail. Anywho... things are peachy. Can't complain!

      Grumpy!

I'm not in the greatest of moods today.  I went to do my Drving theory test today and failed. I actually passed the theory test with flying colours but the hazard perception was failed by just 3 points. This means I have to pay to do it all over again. I don't know possibly how I could do it again when I studied and practiced for it and thought I was doing alright? I don't think the test is designed very well. It should be verbal to prove that a person really does know their hazards. Clicking of the mouse randomly just doesn't seem like it could be very acurate. Oh well....

      Monday, Monday

It's Monday already. :(  I'm at work and the sun is shining. Oh how I'd love to be out in my garden! All the work is finished so I'd just sit and enjoy!

Last night went to go see DaVinci code. It wasn't too bad. I liked the book better but I think that's a common attitude for me. We still enjoyed it. K and I will be going to see X-Men 3 tonight along with friends from our commuter train. Should be fun!

Wednesday morning is my Driving Theory test and although I should pass it alright, my stomach will be a bunch of nerves. Aaargh! Not looking forward to it at all! If I pass, I'll reward myself by going to the Kabuki at Saddler's Wells in London on Sunday.
